Today's Weather

I see bare fields as I look out the window and down the Mad River valley. It is about 50° F outside and pouring rain but the forecast is for a cold front to come roaring in, the rain changing to freezing rain and then to snow with high winds and then a plunge in temperatures from 50° to -15° F tonight!

It is very unusual to see bare ground in Vermont in February. The ski areas are frowning because the big President’s Day week is coming up and anyone that looks at the forecast may skip coming to Vermont to ski!
