Doing it Yourself

Working smart is recognizing what you can do and what you can’t do and when to get help. I don’t know if many people know about it (or use it) but Apple has within the Support tab on their website a place where you can access Do-It-Yourself instructions for your computer.

  • Want to install your own RAM? (provided it’s doable)
  • Replace the graphics card?
  • Install a hard drive?

From this Apple page:

http://www.apple.com/support/diy/

Choose from the drop-down menu in the bottom right corner what type of Mac you have and you’ll be brought to another page that lists what replacement can be done by the user.

Instructions are easy to follow and have great up close photos and diagrams.

I definitely recommend you bookmark this Apple page!
