The Official Word is: BURLINGTON!

Well, it’s official. Small Dog Electronics is opening our first retail store in Chittenden County, located at 100 Dorset Street in South Burlington.

This will be our flagship retail operation. We aim to create an unprecedented Apple Computer shopping, service, and education experience.

The new store will have 3700 sq. ft. of Apple computers, software, iPods, iPod accessories, as well as a large assortment of excellent peripherals for both Macs and Windows PCs. Most of what we sell on the web will be available in the new store.

An Apple authorized technical service department will also be located in the new store.

“The time is right for Small Dog to serve our local customers with a much bigger presence in Vermont.” says Don Mayer, CEO and founder. “After more than ten years of building the web business, we now get a chance to transform ourselves in a full-blown retail presence.” A retail outlet is already located at the Waitsfield headquarters, about one-third the size of the upcoming Burlington store. Mayer explains, “So many people stopped by our offices hoping to buy computers from us, we decided to open a small showroom and customer service department so they wouldn’t’ be disappointed.” Mayer says, “But in this case, the Burlington store is no afterthought. It’s our foray into serious retail but with a Small Dog bent. We know we’ll wow our customers with our products but we also want them to have fun, and maybe even learn something new while they visit. It’s our chance to take the best of Apple and showcase their products but we’ll do it in our own way, the Small Dog way.”

The retail store plans to open in mid-October of 2006.

Grand Opening announcements will be made very soon!
