I have some good news for MacBook Pro users. I have mapped the forward delete to the single backquote key that is below the esc and above the tab key. I like it because of it’s location…It’s on the same row as the backwards delete…Being a forward delete, it’s on the far left while the backwards delete is on the far right…Symmetrical and easy easy to remember. Since I never use the single backwards quote key, it puts it use.
I also made the right command key with the home/end/up page /down page enable those functions to work. Although the function key does the same, the command key is closer to the arrows.
Note: In order for you to use this program, you cannot have other keyboard remappers loaded on your computer before you load keyremap4macbook
I checked the web and everywhere I look, people say the’ve been looking for this for years. It took me 15 minutes to find this. If you know others who are looking, I would get the word out. Here is somethig that should help with the delete key-Remap Backquote(`) Key > Backquote(`) to Forward Delete.
I’m sure this will help a lot. For me as a power user, I cannot sacrifice the \ or enter key.
