Last Week's Lightning

Written and Photographed By Jeremiah@smalldog.com – posted by Ed.

‘Twas the night of the All-Star Game and everyone was set,
Not a person was leaving, for sure they would regret.

The channel was set and remote placed down,
In hopes that there would be some Home Runs thrown down.

The beers were chilled, no one would dare take.
While a slow moving thunderstorm, crept across the lake.

The volume level 48, and the focus on the screen,
Then from the sky, came a defining scream.

We looked out the window, and to our surprise,
The sky was throwing lightning bolts, in magnificent size.

I ran to the closet, without any hesitation,
To capture this moment, before it changed its destination.

75 if took, before this one came out,
First Lightning picture ever, more to come no doubt.
