Microsoft Office Mac 2008 Release Day!

Not only is today the Keynote address by Steve Jobs at MacWorld in San Francisco, it is the release day for Microsoft Office Mac 2008, the first full new version of the suite since Office 2004.
There are several versions of the new Office 2008 software, each with different features and price points.

All three versions, Home and Student Edition (not licensed for commercial use, but valid on up to three personal computers), Standard Edition and a Special Media Edition include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage, MSN Messenger, the ability to handle open XML file formats (Office 2007 compatible) and are fully universal for Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.

The Standard Edition additionally includes Microsoft Exchange Server support and Automator actions for Office workflows while the Special Media Edition adds the Microsoft Expression Media pack for digital asset management.
