New $999.99 MacBooks Are Here

We are so pleased to announce that the baseline new $999.99 MacBooks have landed in both our South Burlington and Waitsfield locations.

Featuring 2.0GHz processors, 2GB of RAM (Memory), 120GB Hard Drives, SuperDrives (to burn both CDs and DVDs) and AirPort and Bluetooth wireless, they are loaded with features. Plus, they include iLife ’09!

With that said, the now-previous generation baseline MacBooks (2.1GHz/1GB/120/SuperDrive/AP/BT) which were $1099.99 have been reduced to $949.99.

No, that’s not a typo—the processor speed went from 2.1GHz to 2.0GHz; however, for most users, this will not make much of a difference (just make sure you have plenty of RAM). With 2GBs of RAM standard (as opposed to 1GB), that should more than make up for the speed drop!
