Analog to Digital TV Switch: Delayed!

The date to switch TV transmitting signals from analog to digital has been delayed from February 17, 2009 to June 12, 2009, giving consumers an extra four months to prepare.

Many people may choose to get rid of their existing analog TVs instead of buying a converter (or some may have no choice but to do so), so this will inevitably create a massive jump in electronics waste. Since televisions generally contain toxic materials, it is imperative that they be recycled, rather than dumped in the trash.

Small Dog Electronics recycles electronic waste for 35¢ per lb, and encourages everyone to take care of their old TVs and other ewaste responsibly!
