Preview Songs from iTunes Store Live & Online!

A few months ago, Apple launched a web-based version of the iTunes Store where people could browse titles, email links to albums and songs, and click on links to launch their iTunes application to listen to song previews and purchase songs. Until today, this was of limited use since you couldn’t actually listen to song previews in your browser.

Well, Apple has updated the web-based version of iTunes, so it’s now possible to listen to 30-second song samples right in your browser. This might be a result of its recent purchase of streaming media service Lala.

This reminds me of a scene in the Office TV show, when Michael kept repeating a 30-second song sample in iTunes because he was too cheap to spend the .99¢ to buy the song. Now anyone can do this, right in their web browser of choice!
