AutoCAD Comes Back to OS X
Autodesk’s AutoCAD drafting software may finally be coming back to OS X. Discontinued almost twenty years ago for Mac, this software is the industry standard for many architects and draftsmen, and has forced many Mac users to virtualize Windows or even switch to the dark side entirely.
Though details are still somewhat scarce, early beta screenshots provide clear evidence that a Mac version is in the works. The beta is said to be a 64-bit release only, and to support multi-touch gestures.
A Mac-native version of this software is long overdue, and upon its release it will hopefully enable/inspire many PC-based architects to make the switch back to Mac.
