Pre-order an iPhone 4 Today

As announced at last week’s WWDC keynote, pre-orders for Apple’s latest iPhone have begun as of this morning. Eligible users can visit either Apple or AT&T to pre-order the phone with a new 2-year agreement, or upgrade an existing line by signing on for another two years.

3G (and some 3Gs owners) who have qualified for early upgradability can do so at either of the aforementioned sites but will pay a small upgrade fee.

Apple is advertising delivery by June 24th when pre-ordered directly. They also state the phone will be ready to use out of the box for new and existing customers alike. No longer is a trip to an Apple or AT&T store necessary for the phone’s activation. Set-up through iTunes will transfer your existing number to the new device without hassle.

Existing iPhone customers can choose from either of AT&T’s new plans, or continue to use their existing unlimited plan. If the iPhone 4 is your first iPhone, you will be able to choose from either the new DataPlus or DataPro plans. Tethering is an additional option for DataPro customers.
