It’s hard to believe in just a few short weeks the 2010 Holiday shopping season will be in full swing! It’s been a great year for us here at Small Dog, and an amazingly busy past couple of months: between the opening of our newest store in the Mall of New Hampshire (in Manchester, NH), our 4th annual eWaste event, and all of the new Apple products that have been released over the past few months we’ve been going nearly nonstop!

All of our stores are packed with the latest and greatest from Apple, and there are so many great gift ideas this season it’s almost overwhelming. Our prediction is the new iPod touch, Apple TV, iPad, and the recently announced 11-inch MacBook Air will be the hot holiday items this season, and we’ll be keeping our stores stocked with these items and more for the holiday rush. We also have some great new colors of our famous Chill Pill Mobile Speakers: Blue, Purple, and Red! Be sure to stop in to any of our locations and check out these awesome offerings.

Hope everyone in the VT/NH area had a chance to enjoy the great foliage we had this season. Nothing beats taking a long drive with the windows down, sun shining, and music cranked as you soak in gorgeous colors of the season before the snow settles!

Last month Apple made a long-overdue update to it’s thinnest and lightest computer–the MacBook Air. Formerly available in only a 13-inch option, there are now both 11- and 13-inch models to choose from.

They both sport flash storage (that’s right folks, no more hard drives!), which was previously an optional configuration. You can now get up to 256GB of solid-state flash storage in the world’s thinnest notebook computer!

Having had a chance to play around with the new 11-inch model we have on demo on the sales floor in South Burlington, I must say the performance of the flash storage makes both application load times and boot times much snappier than any standard, spinning platter hard drive can offer.

These new Macbook Airs are the perfect laptop for those on the go, or for students who want a super light computer to bring to class. Of course, they are a fantastic entry level machine for those new to the Mac platform.
