Get Well Steve

We at Small Dog Electronics wish a very happy birthday to Steve Jobs, who turns 56 tomorrow. As Ben discussed in an earlier post on this blog, Jobs is currently on a medical leave of absence of unknown duration from day-to-day operations at Apple. Yesterday, designtaxi.com reported that Apple fans have created a crowdsourced greeting card for Jobs. The organizers of getwellsteve.com claim the card is the first of its kind and plan to deliver it to Jobs by Thursday. While the site primarily functions as a get-well card, it also appears to be a means of expressing appreciation to Jobs for the contributions he has made to the technology that impacts so many people’s lives. The card has been live for a week, and fans all over the world have been posting get-well messages, thank-you notes, and birthday tidings. You can send Jobs your well wishes or words of appreciation by signing the card here or tweeting #getwellsteve.
