Apple today announced the dates of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. The conference is scheduled to take place from Monday June 6 to Friday the 10th. In line with previous years, WWDC 2011 will be held at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco. While WWDC is technically more about developer innovations with iOS and OS X than Apple itself, the event has become widely known for major Apple product announcements in years past. Most recently, announcements have been focused around iPhone, with the platform seeing annual updates.
This year, however, Apple’s splash page indicates a slightly different focus. The invitation featured on this site beckons prospective attendees to “Join us for a preview of the future of iOS and Mac OS X.” Whether or not the company’s opening keynote will segue into a product announcement is of course unknown. Though theories and predictions abound, Apple fans will need to wait about three months to see what the company has planned. One thing, however, is for certain—Apple always puts on a good show.
Tickets to this year’s WWDC can be purchased here.
