Happy Birthday Apple

Apple Inc. today celebrates its 35th birthday. The company—which was established April 1st 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne—had humble beginnings in Jobs’ Los Altos garage and only one product: Apple I. Originally Apple Computer Inc., the company was incorporated in January 1977 and began its triumphant rise to the multi-billion dollar business it is today. The three founding employees have since given way to nearly 50,000, and Apple has expanded its reach into additional facets of the consumer electronics market with portable products such as iPad, iPod, and iPhone. Posting over 65 billion dollars in revenue, and 14 billion in profit in the last fiscal year, Apple is one of the most respected and valued companies in the world. With the tremendous success of recent product releases such as iPhone 4 and iPad 2, Apple looks to continue its growth and success well into the future. Happy 35th Birthday Apple!
