Turning Treats into Charitable Donations

We’ve discussed Small Dog’s Charitable Giving Program quite a bit in past issues of Kibbles & Bytes, and we’re excited to tell you about one more way you can make a donation to one of our pet charities in our online shopping cart.

When you make a purchase with Small Dog Electronics, you are automatically signed up for our Top Dog Club (membership is open to all, and you can join by clicking here). Top Dog Club members earn “treats” for every dollar spent online. These treats can be redeemed for a wide variety of products on our website. They can also be used to make a donation to any of the charities Small Dog supports, which include Puppy Mill Rescue, Doctors Without Borders and the Vermont Food Bank.

Small Dog matches individual donations of up to $200 up to our set annual level of charitable giving. For more information, please visit Smalldog.com/charity.

  • Dear Friends,

Happy holidays to your family from our family! Best wishes for a joyous holiday, and while the desire for “peace on Earth and goodwill to men” is a sentiment that we should share every day of the year, it is a particularly important message this time of the year.

We are wrapping up a very successful holiday season with iPad leading the way for the second year in a row and the Small Dog team firing on all cylinders to make sure that you, our loyal customers, are served with a smile and expertise. There is a reason that we are an independent Apple Specialist. We strive to provide you with a customer experience, technical expertise and product selection that will make you a customer for life. We look at the life cycle value of a customer and know that the profit we may make on a single transaction pales in comparison to the value of a satisfied and loyal customer.

As is our tradition, I will review my annual predictions and see how I scored for 2011. I will prognosticate for 2012 in next week’s edition of Kibbles & Bytes!

  • MAC TREAT #173 Follow-Up

Thanks to Kibbles & Bytes reader Perry, who let me know that there’s another way to grab your iTunes account password:

    He writes:

__”Go to Applications/Utilities and open Keychain; then type in iTunes in the search field and you will see if there is an iTunes account there (or not, if you don’t have one).
Click on it and you see the username. You then can click on Show Password and type in your Admin/User password and you will see the Password as well.”__

I’ve gotten some other interesting questions regarding this that I’m doing a little research on, so I’ll update you in a later issue!

    Thanks for reading!

  • Best Wishes to Stephanie!

I just wanted to extend a fond farewell to Stephanie Reich, one of our stellar Kibbles & Bytes contributors. She’s in the midst of writing her dissertation and is leaving us to buckle down and get ‘er done.

We will miss her contributions to the newsletter and the blog, and hope that she’ll occasionally check in (and perhaps freelance an article or two–just kidding, Steph. Maybe.).

Thank you, Stephanie, for your hard work and impeccable grammatical prowess! (Feel free to edit that sentence as needed…)
