One of my favorite things about the holiday season is all the food! Cooking yummy, warm dinners that make the house smell good and fog up the windows on cold nights are the best. It’s a great time to bake and not feel quite as bad about eating sweet treats because, well, it’s the holidays!
Here are some apps to check out if you’re into cooking or baking.
Food Network in the Kitchen – Free — Choose recipes based on chefs, seasonal collections or ingredient and save your favorites to your recipe box. You can add your own notes, tips or substitutions as well.
Jamie Oliver’s Recipes – Free — Remember when he had his show The Naked Chef on Food Network? One of my favorite cooking shows of all time. Anyway, Jamie Oliver has stuck around in the cooking world delivering some great-tasting recipes with fresh ingredients. The app is free and includes ten recipes to get started. If you like the app and his recipes, you can subscribe to get more recipes added every month. Definitely worth it!
Dash Holiday – Free — An app filled with Holiday food and drinks! Browse through dozens of recipes for appetizers, winter cocktails, hearty roasts, cookies and more! ‘Tis the season for delicious cooking!
Foodie Recipes – Free — A super easy to use app with great recipes. This app is seasonally relevant and features some of the best recipes from food bloggers and culinary professionals from all over. A great app if you love and appreciate food!
Need an idea for the chef in your life who has an iPad? Grab a handy stand so that when they’re cooking in the kitchen it can be propped up, making it easy to read that recipe and keeps the iPad out of harm’s way! Try one of these!
