Dear Friends,
Don is currently making the long, circuitous route back to Vermont from Key West with some scenic stops in between, so I’m filling in today. While the weather has mostly been cooperative and beautiful, I know this week’s crazy weather has been looming large, especially for someone on a motorcycle!
I spent last night in Rutland at the VBSR Get Together, which was jointly hosted by Green Mountain Power and yours truly (Small Dog, that is!). We started out the evening at GMP’s newly-built Energy Innovation Center, which is a stunning addition to Rutland’s downtown. (Click through the link above to find out more about it!)
After a few short speeches from VBSR members and sponsors of the event, we walked around the corner to our store and continued networking with our valued peers, supporters, and new friends until late in the evening.
We’ll continue the revelry in Rutland tomorrow, May 3, as we host our official one-year anniversary celebration from 10am-5pm. It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year already, but indeed it has, and we couldn’t be happier about being a part of the Rutland-area community. There’s so much happening in that city, and it’s clear that its revitalization efforts are starting to pay off.
If you’re in the area, please stop by and say hi — among other things, we’ll be offering fantastic one-day specials in the store on Macs, iPads, and more, and will be doing giveaways on the hour between 11am-2pm.
Bonus: If you haven’t seen it yet, the Rutland Downtown Partnership did a great 30-second branding ad (and will be following up with a few more in the series) that highlight what “Rutland Is…” Our very own Jamie W. has become a local celebrity with his appearance (and note Emily G.‘s cameo in the background!).
