Top 10 Tips & Tools for Making Mobile Movies
Small Dog is pleased to be partnering with RETN for this one-of-a-kind, FREE event. RETN instructors Doug Dunbebin, Gin Ferrara, and Ross Ransom will work with Macintosh consultant Michael Scott Duplessis from Small Dog Electronics to guide you through the essential features of iMovie 10 in this hands-on workshop.
This Workshop is designed to help you understand both the basics of iMovie and also how one can use iMovie to promote either their small business, non-profit, or practically any organization. We will recommend different equipment for different users, both advanced and basic. In addition to the equipment recommendations, we will be offering exclusive bundles and specials to attendees on the day of the workshop.

*Ross Ransom*
Ross Ransom is the Programming and Education Coordinator at RETN. Ross helps people make videos and share them with their community by teaching workshops and programming RETN’s television channel. If Ross isn’t working on helping people access the mountain that community media built in Vermont, you’ll find him climbing one.
*Michael Scott Duplessis*
Mike is a five-year veteran of Small Dog Electronics and has worked in phone and web sales, marketing, wholesale, and business solutions. His current position is as a Macintosh consultant, which means that on any given day he is driving all over Vermont providing tech support, troubleshooting, teaching lessons and classes, and much more. Mike’s certifications include: Mac Integration Basics, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator, and Apple Certified Support Professional.
*Gin Ferrara*
As Multimediator at Spindle & Widget, Gin helps people tell their own stories with greater impact. She works with RETN developing and teaching their iPad videomaking program for students, teachers, and nonprofits. A media educator for 20 years, Gin is also the founder of Wide Angle Youth Media in Baltimore, MD and now lives in Burlington with her family and a growing collection of toy trucks.

*Doug Dunbebin*
Doug is the community education and public relations manager at RETN (Regional Educational Television Network). He’s also their mobile-media guru, developing and teaching RETN’s movie-making workshops. When Doug’s not testing out cool gear, or providing one-to-one technical support, you’ll find him cruising Pine Street on his bike with with a cup of hot chocolate in one hand.
