Welcome to our fist addition of Small Dog Electronics internal newsletter! We’ve struggled for months, heck years, to determine how best to get information out to staff. Retail staff gets a weekly e-mail which works well, but what about the rest of the company? Additionally we’ve struggled with the best approach to get training materials and product information out to staff. We thought seeing as we already have e-mail tools in place for Newsletters, why not use the same system we use to inform our customers for our staff!
This internal newsletter will go as frequently as it’s needed to share company wide information to start, once bumps are worked out and a better format is developed we hope to make this a weekly staple for our staff. We’ll share all kinds of information, it’s not just for products! We’ll use this as a tool to send out updates on policies, procedures, IT projects and more. We hope everyone finds this to be a useful tool and take the time to read all of the information.

News about Apple OS
OS X Sierra is available for download on September 20th
iOS 10 is available for download on September 13th
We think/hope watchOS 3 will be out on September 16th to line up with Apple Watch Series 2 release, however the Apple website says coming this fall so no official word on this.
TV OS, nothing about that, still showing as coming this fall like the Watch OS
Oh Apple Your So Sneaky!
In addition to the iPhone and Apple Watch announcements, quietly Apple made some big changes to iPads in the way of storage. Apple has eliminated the 16gb and 64gb storage options on all iPads. Here’s the Skinny:
iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4
Discontinued the 16gb and 64gb units
iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 4 is now only available in 32gb and 128gb and comes in Wifi and Cellular options starting at
iPad Pro
iPad Pro saw pricing adjustments as well, our website is up to date and correctly displays any of the changes. iPad Pro 9.7in and 12.9in is available in 32gb, 128gb and 256gb storage options for Wifi starting at $599.99 and $799.99. Cellular options are also available in all models, but note only the 9.7in can be purchased with cellular, it’s not an option with the 12.9in.
iPad Mini 2
Now also only available in 32gb and comes in Wifi and Cellular options fort $269.99 and $399.99
Last But Not Least, Beats!
Apple announced Beats Solo 3, Powerbeats 3 and the new BeatsX.
The new Solo3 will sell for $299.99, the Powerbeats 3 are $199.99 and the new BeatsX will sell for $149.99. At this time BeatsX nd Powerbeats are simply listed as coming this fall. The other models should be shipping within the next week.
