Yo, Tech Tails readers!

Spring is here, sort of! Since I am writing this on the Friday before Tech Tails Tuesday, and taking into account we live in Vermont, there’s a very real possibility that by the time you read this, Vermont will be recovering from a record breaking Nor’Easter. So I’ll go ahead and even it out with a “Winter Rides Again!”. Ah, such is life in Vermont!

As many of you are aware, Apple released the 2018 model iPad two weeks ago. Unlike its 2017 predecessor, the 2018 model has full functionality with the Apple Pencil. Apple has even lowered the retail price of it for educators. It seems as though Apple is making a solid push into the education realm and will certainly provide some stiff competition out there against other devices used in the field. A number of educator friends of mine have already been in touch and have inquired about the classroom and day-to-day functionality this new model has. And with the Apple Pencil integration, I think the 2018 iPad is the perfect option for folks out there who may have been on the fence about the size or price tag of the iPad Pro.

We’ve got some great material for you this week with some tips on how to spot fake tech support. Also included are some know-hows on what exactly the new Apple file system (APFS) is.

Enjoy, readers!
