The temperatures have been on the rise these last two days and we seem to be experiencing a classic January thaw in Vermont. My neighbors corgi, Bruno, is with us for a few days. The melting snow has made it significantly easier for him to roam around our yard on his short little legs. I got a chuckle this morning watching him leap through the snow, especially when he found himself hung up in a sudden deep pile of snow!

The warm weather isn’t going to last, a cold front is coming back overnight and with it some snow to replace what’s melted. I’m hoping to get up on the ski slopes again this weekend, I’ve been teaching my youngest daughter to ski this year and she’s anxious to keep working on her turns so she can graduate from the rope tow.
