iPod Shuffle Price Drop – Also now available in 2GB!

This is good news: Apple has lowered the price of the iPod Shuffle $30, from $79 to $49.

Apple also introduced a 2GB model for $69 – which is still $10 cheaper than the previous 1GB model.

The 1GB $49 iPod Shuffle holds up to 240 songs, while the new 2GB $69 holds up to 500 songs. Both can also play audiobooks and podcasts.

The 2GB iPod will not ship until the end of the month or beginning of next month.

The body design and colors of the iPod shuffle remain the same – blue, silver, green, and purple (as well as red, which is only available directly from Apple.)

At $49, the iPod shuffle is the most compact, least expensive iPod Apple has ever offered. It’s also the ideal iPod for people on the go -I love listening to mine while walking, running, and even mopping the floor.
