Small Dog Electronics + Vermont Tax Holiday in the News!

The 2008 Vermont tax holiday has provided Small Dog Electronics with a very busy weekend. This hasn’t escaped notice of our local media:

“You had to wait in line at Small Dog Electronics, but saving six percent — plus South Burlington’s one-cent local option tax on top of that — made it worthwhile for business owners, as well as consumers. “What it does is help build Vermont businesses by stimulating the type of sales we’re seeing here. And we’re seeing this all over the state. Furniture stores and, you know, Home Depot and mom and pop stores, they’re all having great sales this weekend,” said Don Mayer, Small Dog Electronics CEO.”

SOUTH BURLINGTON — Amie Wilson and Matt Bryce of Essex Junction joined a long line of shoppers at Small Dog Electronics on Saturday morning, inching their way toward the checkout with the iMac desktop computer they were buying.

They didn’t mind the wait. This was a purchase they’d long been contemplating and they would be saving almost $90 by buying this weekend during the state’s two-day sales-tax holiday.”
