It's That Time of Year…

No, not that time of year. Parents are rejoicing and kids are frowning because Mac to School season is here!

We are kicking off August with loads of great specials to get you and your student ready for the coming school year. Notebooks are a must-have for most students, and one of the best deals out there is on our closeout aluminum MacBooks. Check it out as our Product of the Month (right)!

Writing, writing, writing. For all those papers students will be writing, we have Microsoft Office Home and Student Edition on sale for $129.99.

Need a printer to print all those papers? We have an all in one printer from HP that is just $30 after a mail-in rebate when you buy a new Mac.

Protect that new laptop! We have a great new line of Hammerhead notebook sleeves in, a Small Dog exclusive. They are made from reversible neoprene and offer great protection without adding bulk to an already overflowing school bag!

Back up, back up, back up. Failed hard drives are some of the worst stories we hear during the school year from frantic parents and students as these disasters can come at the worst time for students. Small Dog has you covered with back up solutions starting at just $79.99.

  • iHome iH9 iPod Alarm Clock Review

I wanted to get an iPod Docking Station for our kitchen and I have been really pleased with the iHome iH8 that we have in the bedroom, so I decided to give the new iHome iH9 a shot.

There are a couple of upgrades on the iH9 that are worth mentioning. First, it comes with a remote that can be used to control both the iH9 as well as the iPod that is docked. There is also a way to program the snooze button for different lengths of time if the standard nine minutes is not enough.

By far though, I think the coolest feature that iHome has added to the new unit is what they call 7-5-2. This allows you to set up the alarm to go off either at the same time every day, just on weekdays or just the weekends. Also, the iH9 has a battery back up, so if you lose power there is no need to worry about re-setting the clock and alarm.

After checking out all of the new features, I think I will end up putting the iH9 in the bedroom and moving the iH8 down to the kitchen. We’re currently running a special on the **iH9 for $79.99, which is $10.00 off the regular list price.**

Stop by either the Waitsfield or South Burlington showroom to hear how great the iH9 sounds!
