The iPhone has proven to be another game-changing product for Apple; it’s hitting record sales numbers and has helped usher in a new era of portable computing. It’s amazing that we have essentially the same functionality of our old desktop computers, now in a pocketable size and touch-screen smart phone.
Everything from web browsing, emailing, map-checking, and even gaming can all be done with ease on an iPhone; however, if you do all of these things often throughout the day you’ll come across one of the iPhone’s biggest downsides, the battery life. While it’s not as low as some smart phones, using 3G, WiFi, and the GPS will definitely drain the battery faster than you’d like. Luckily, we have a variety of iPhone batteries which can drastically extend your phone’s life.
The Mophie Juice Pack (available in black) seems to be the tried-and-true favorite of mine and some of my co-workers. It’s medium size, with a slide-in design. The back provides a nice rubberized surface for grip, and there is only a small strip across the bottom to reach the dock connector.
The Jucie Pack provides very good battery life and roughly equates to one more iPhone battery. With all battery packs, they will perform differently based on the activities you are doing on the phone. I prefer this pack because I like the idea of just having it in my bag if I need it. I already have a case on my phone and don’t like to always have the added bulk of a battery pack.
Mophie does make a similar product called the Juice Pack Air, (available in black or white) which is perfect if you want a case that doubles as an extra battery. It doesn’t have quite the same battery power of the original Juice Pack, but comes close.
Lastly, the TruePower IV is most powerful battery pack we sell; however, it’s also the most bulky. The bulk doesn’t go to waste though, giving you about twice the battery power of the standard Mophie, an extra port for USB charging, and even a flashlight! It may not be quite as sleek as Mophie’s, but it’s certainly more functional.
