Left 4 Dead Creeps onto OS X for Halloween

Joining its recently released sequel, Valve today launched an OS X version of ‘Left 4 Dead.’ The first entry in the popular zombie shooter/survival horror series, the game debuted for Windows and home consoles in 2008. Renowned for its innovative and immersive online co-op play, both L4D titles pack a serious thrill ride of zombie blasting goodness. While some players may prefer the slightly refined sequel to the original, Mac users can now experience the entirety of the series on Steam for Mac. To celebrate the release, Valve has slashed (get it?) prices in half on both L4D games. Right now you can snag either title for only $9.99, or both for $14.99.

Personally, I don’t think that there’s ever a bad time for zombies. Romero and Fulci titles occupy my Netflix queue year round, and I go on Plants vs. Zombies binges frequently. However, If you’ve never played either of these games, you owe it to yourself to pick one up–especially in light of the fast approaching All Hallows’ Eve. Note that both titles are graphically demanding, so make sure your Mac meets the minimum requirements. See you out there fellow survivors!
