Microsoft Releases Service Pack 1 for Office 2011

Microsoft today released Service Pack 1 (SP1) for its Office 2011 software suite. The update—which provides significant increases in stability and security—introduces several new features into the suite. Among the biggest enhancement is improved Outlook syncing support. Outlook users may now sync their calendars with any device supported by Apple’s Sync Services including iPad and iPhone. This functionality also carries over to Apple’s own iCal, as well as other third party OS X calendars supporting Sync Services. A full table of updates can be viewed here.
