Essential OS X Applications, Redux

In last week’s Kibbles & Bytes, I wrote about what I consider to be essential OS X applications. These are applications that don’t come bundled with new Macs. Some are freeware, some are shareware, and some are boxed commercial programs. I recommended Office 2004, Photoshop Elements 4, Onyx, Adium, VLC, Flip4Mac, Firefox, Thunderbird, MacTheRipper, SuperDuper, and NetNewsWire.

This morning I noticed a post on Digg linking to a blog called “Flërnk” about the best OS X software for switchers. It is well written and nicely laid out, and I recommend reading it, even if you’re not a switcher.
