iCal Day!

Have you ever noticed that iCal’s icon reads July 17 ? Well, as noted over at TUAW, today is July 17. Today is iCal day – the one day a year when the iCal icon is in sync with the date. The reason the iCal icon reads “Jul 17” is because iCal was revealed to the public on July 17, 2002, at the MacWorld Expo in New York City. iCal was a free download that only worked with Jaguar, OS 10.2. It’s now only available as a bundled application in OS 10.3 and higher.

I can’t believe I didn’t notice this sooner! Happy iCal day!
