In addition to being a computer nerd, I am also a word nerd. Etymology was one of my favorite college classes, and on most days I spend part of my lunch hour doing the Los Angeles Times crossword puzzle
online.
Another one of my favorite word games is finding anagrams. I decided to find anagrams for “Small Dog Electronics” and have come up with the following list of apt anagrams:
Sells Mac direct. Log on!
We do sell Macs direct! Log on at smalldog.com.
Sell/Rent cool Macs. Dig?
We also rent computers. “Dig?” is beatnik slang for “do you like it?” and also a good dog pun.
“Nice Macs!”
“Let’s roll, dog!”
I imagine this could be a conversation between two people who have just discovered SDE online and decide to get in the car and head to one of our three retail locations immediately.
Cord mess? Call, get Lion.
I am not sure that Lion will help with your cord mess, but the Applecore will.
iMac cord: longest sell
More fun with cables! However, the iMac cord is not the longest cord that we sell, this is.
Mac dongle? Scroll site.
A dongle is a small adapter cable. We sell many Mac dongles, but this adapter is the only one with dongle in the name.
Don, Grace: I smell colts.
Overheard on a field trip to our neighbors at the Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm.
Imelda: Cogent scrolls
Our founding dog Imelda was well known for her relevant website scrolling.
Art sells mice, cold nog.
Art has bought and sold more mice than the average person, but he claims to never have sold egg nog.
Colder iMacs: Glen’s lot
Cold RAM slot ices Glen
Lord Glen’s iMac closet
Thanks to these three anagrams, I think that our Manchester technician Glenn needs to change his name to “Glen”. While he is not, as far as I know, a member of the hereditary peerage, he does have plenty to say about cold computers.
iMac clog, slender slot
The slender slot on the side of an iMac is a SuperDrive. Ask Matt about the things that he has found in there.
Tell lice on dogs: “Scram!”
The Mac OS is remarkably bug free. This is unfortunately not always true of dogs.
