Let's Talk iPhone* Event

Apple’s “Let’s Talk About iPhone” event got underway at 1PM ET today amid much hype (as per usual, fanboys and girls), and we’ll have all the details and new releases here in just a bit.

Newly appointed CEO Tim Cook kicked off the event, and along with Scott Forstall, Senior VP of iOS Software, and Phil Schiller, Senior VP of Product Marketing, he outlined all of the new products and Apple updates that we’ve been eagerly awaiting.

(Well, maybe not all… *spoiler alert: as you probably gathered from the title, the iPhone 5 will have to wait for another day.)

More on all that shortly. Here’s a quick summary of what we’ll be covering:

  • iPod nano and iPod touch updates
  • iCloud release information and details
  • iPhone 4S release
  • iOS details
  • Various Apple numbers and stats over the last quarter

Stay tuned!

UPDATE 3:13PM: Looks like all the traffic has crashed Apple’s website. ACCESS DENIED!

UPDATE 3:50PM: Apple’s site is back up.
