iBook G4: The Mac That Started It All (For Me)

About 6 years ago, I was a sophomore in high school and just starting to become interested in graphic design. My school had a graphic arts program that I had participated in that year and the year before. After only being able to do my work on the clunky eMacs that were in the computer lab, I decided I needed to get my own computer.

In my mind, a Mac was the way to go. After using the eMacs for a while, I wanted something with more power. So my dad and I drove to CompUSA, which at the time was one of the only places in the area that sold new Mac products.

When we got to the store, I instantly ran to the back corner where they kept all of the Mac stuff. The salesperson tried to get me to buy an eMac, but the iBook G4 had the power and portability that I needed.

That iBook lasted me three years. The only reason I had to get a new computer was because I had to have one that could run the newest Adobe programs. I will always miss my iBook and know it’s what started my Mac addiction!
