Oktoberfest

Proving yet again that there is an app for just about everything…check out the Oktoberfest app for iPhone.

I’ve never been to Germany and I’m not a real fan of beer, but since it is October 1st and I’m looking for something quirky to write about, what could be better than Oktoberfest? The app includes a list of beer tents in Munich, hours of operation, how many visitors are expected and what I’m going to call a “drinkenzie” meter. Enter how many beers you have had and it will estimate you blood alcohol level.

Did you know that only beer which is brewed within the city limits of Munich with a minimum of 13.5% Master Spice is allowed to be served in the Oktoberfest festival.
