Make snow fall!

We’ve entered the second-half of December and here in Vermont there is not as much snow as one might expect. This has become quite a sad fact for us skiers and snowboarders, but I’ve found a quick and painless solution: Snowfall for your Mac!
This very detailed, crisp and beautiful screen saver has been blogged about on Mac sites recently and is available as a free download from Russell Warneboldt here. After downloading the compressed version and putting the Quartz composer file in your Screen Savers folder within your Library folder, you can activate and customize Snowfall by selecting Desktop & Screen Saver within the System Preferences.
