What is Mr. Bill Afraid of?

Vista was launched complete with big midnight events and million -dollar marketing campaigns and no one came. With as many as 11 versions of the software that cost $billions$ and almost a decade of development, the buying public yawned and went back to using Google and Yahoo. Increasing numbers are getting smart and moving to OS X, too!

Then Mr. Softee went on the offense in an interview with Steven Levy of Newsweek.

Levy: In many of the Vista reviews, even the positive ones, people note that some Vista features are already in the Mac operating system.

Gates: … Nowadays, security guys break the Mac every single day. Every single day, they come out with a total exploit, your machine can be taken over totally. I dare anybody to do that once a month on the Windows machine. …

Hmm… I haven’t heard of one – that’s right a single one, exploit where a consumer’s Mac was taken over in any exploit that would allow a Mac to be “taken over”. Perhaps Billy Boy got abducted by aliens and was taken over himself?

Or maybe Mr. Gates has become Mr. Mxyztplk of Superman fame?
