As we approach the next Apple announcement at WWDC, Apple analysts, tech speculators and fanboy (and girl) bloggers are circling the surfacing artifacts looking for clues. As you can imagine, everyone at Small Dog is always excited to see what is next from Apple, whether it’s new software or hardware.

The primary focus will most likely be the successor to Mavericks — OS X 10.10. In addition, we’re expecting a preview of iOS 8 with the introduction of the rumored “Healthbook” app. This, of course, fans the flames of the iWatch rumors, though popular opinion suggest we won’t be seeing Apple’s first smart watch for a little while longer.

If you’re looking for hardware announcements, you’re out of luck, as the WWDC’s live-streaming keynote from Apple are traditionally focused on software. Last year, we were introduced to iOS 7 with radically-updated aesthetics and new security features.

As far fetched as it sounds, I would personally love to see Apple break into the home automation market. This would most likely be a software platform that existing home automation companies could attach themselves to and join an all new, unified, iOS-friendly system for the household.

Watch it here and check in with us on Twitter @hellosmalldog as we live-tweet the keynote. Head over to our blog afterwards for the full recap!
