  • It's Mud Season…Or Is It Still Winter?

    Spring is here, and so is the mix of mud and snow that comes with it in the beautiful state of Vermont. As a horse owner, I find that it’s an exciting time. Because I don’t have access to an indoor arena, I don’t get to ride much in the winter and I know my time is coming soon! The horses’ winter coats are starting to shed and they are literally itching to get their winter blankets off.

    However, just like us, they may also be confused this week — has mud season finally arrived or is it still winter? Since they have had their blankets on for most of the winter, I’m sure they’re excited for spring, too, and can’t wait for the days to come where they can roll in the mud and race around in green pastures once again!

  • Winter is Here!

    Winter finally arrived here in Vermont! Snow is a welcomed site amongst all the twigs and dead grass of fall. It’s time to dust off those sleds, grind a few turns down the mountainside or fire up those snowmobiles that sat all last winter! No matter how you choose to take in the snow, remember, it doesn’t last forever, so enjoy it while it lasts. My family does not ski; however, we do enjoy a number of outdoor winter activities such as sledding and snow shoeing, two activities that last year left our sleds and snowshoes more covered in dust than in snow!

    January is a month of new beginnings it seems, and it’s the perfect time to take the advantage of our consulting and lesson services. Did you receive a new computer, iPad or iPhone but are wishing you knew more about it? One-on-one lessons or consults are often the best way to get a solid footing and understanding of how that new device works. We often find that if customers feel overwhelmed with a device, they can develop a regret in the purchase and no one wants that. All of our retail locations offer one-on-one lessons and consulting services, and often times we can help you in our store the same day!

  • Oh, the Excitement

    It’s October 1st, and many of us might be thinking that it means winter is almost here, but I encourage you to think about all of the exciting things October has to offer — apple picking, fresh cider donuts, pumpkins around every corner and of course, iPhone 5s, new iPods and iOS 6!

    One of my favorite features about iOS 6 is the set of Mail improvements; I love that I can now have VIPs and flagged mail with a dedicated inbox, making it so much easier to keep up with important contacts and emails while away from the office.

    The iPhone 5s are landing at Small Dog, and many of us (including myself) couldn’t wait to get our hands on it. I was not an early iPhone adopter, but I was all over the last two versions! iPods received some changes and improvements as well this past month, and over the next few weeks, we’ll see the new models come in.
