Frenzied Crowd Witnesses Classic Hockey Game

One of my favorite perks in working at Small Dog Electronics has been the chance to attend Boston Bruins hockey games, with tickets graciously supplied by an electronics supplier of ours located in the greater Boston area. The TD Banknorth Garden is always filled with a loud, and usually frenzied, hockey crowd with last night being no exception.

When it comes to sports rivalries, one of the most notorious is the 85 year history shared between the Bruins and their annual divisional opponent, the Montreal Canadiens. Once a year, the owners of the vendor partner who supplies the great, front row balcony seats invite us down for dinner and an evening at the game. They are long time Bruins fans while Hapy and I have always rooted for the Canadiens. We were all wowed with the vigorous play and outcome of the game, including 14 overall goals and 192 penalty minutes.

I have summarized the fantastically entertaining display of skill, athleticism, and mutual contempt of the two teams in the following haiku poem:

Garden Fist-a-cuffs

Bruins over Habs 8 – 6

Oh my, what a game!!
