The Green Button

My apologies to Grace, my editor, who suffers from buttonphobia…

The red, yellow and green buttons at the top of every page on your Mac have been there forever.  You know how they work.  You click the red button to close that page, you click the yellow button to minimize the page and place it in the dock and the green button maximizes the page.   But did you know that if you click and hold the green button you have more useful options?

Holding the green button is how you enter split screen view.  You can “tile” the window to the right or left of your screen and then open another app or document and it can be on the opposite side.  Very useful in editing.  You can also move that app or doc to your other display or even to your iPad.
